Waited over an hour to pick up the car, and the vehicle provided was different from the one booked.

The car pick-up process was extremely slow. It took an hour to get a signal on the POS machine. The staff told me that in case of any accident, I must first pay Hertz £1500. They also pushed additional local insurance at £23 per day. It seems that domestic insurance with low coverage is not very helpful.

The staff at the airport rental store were very polite, and because it was early in the morning, there was no queue.

The queue time was very short; the car was very new, with only 700 miles on it. However, the staff recommended I upgrade the vehicle, which I declined. I feel upgrading would have been much more expensive.
