Highly recommended. This one was a bit outside of city circle but booked the car at a great discount! The staff were very nice and professional, service highly appreciated! Provided detailed instructions upfront and coordinated in a timely manner. No delay in pick/drop.

The only issue is you have to find their shuttle van service to the pick up location. Regarding the rides I do not like the electronic rear mirror. Totally not use to it, sometimes the screen brightness gets dim and it’s very unsafe.

Pickup was a bit slow. I called ahead as I was arriving but needed to wait an extra 20 minutes for the shuttle to the rental office. Overall shuttle wait, drive to rental office, paperwork and pickup took 1~1.5 hours.

The reserved vehicle model was a seven-seat Alphard, but upon pickup, it turned out to be an eight-seater. The rear seats were inconvenient to access, and the car was 10 years old, showing its age. It lacked Bluetooth, USB ports for connecting the phone to listen to music or use CarPlay, and everything was in Japanese. However, it could display Japanese television channels. The only redeeming factor was the good attitude of the customer service.

Yes. Got a bigger car. Service was excellent and staff had enough English to make pick up easy and clarify drop off location after our GPS malfunction. I would suggest that the car GPS be updated. Some Hotel locations and points of interest were just not available in the car GPS.

The service was average, neither good nor bad. They provided a poorly maintained car with over 100,000 kilometers on it. Although it was the same model as booked, it was vastly different from the photos and was a lower standard version. The engine made a rattling noise while driving.

HOWEVER, there was a huge problem. We booked a Mitsbushi Pajaero as we required a FULL SIZED 4WD with high clearance and 4WD. We received a Mazda CX8 which was large enough but not 4WD meaning that we could NOT go where we wanted and got stuck in the snow several times and us not having a full high high clearance 4WD ruined our trip. The car we were given was not equivalent.

The condition of the car brought the general experience down a quite a bit. The cleanliness is quite poor and it didn't seem it has been cleaned before handing it to me. Quite a numerous function of the car isn't working, including rear camera, GPS, function keys on the steering wheel, etc.

I initially booked a Toyota Alphard, but ended up with an old, worn-out Toyota Voxy. This car seemed to be over ten years old with discolored headlights. The interior was extremely cramped; we had to stack our luggage three tiers high just to fit everything in. It felt torturous sitting inside. I had booked snow tires, but the car couldn't handle a slight snowy incline in Karuizawa, and we couldn't reach our hotel. We had to call the hotel at 10:00 PM to send a car to pick us up, which was quite embarrassing. I've rented cars abroad many times, but this was by far the worst experience.

The staff went to handle other matters (there was only one person), encountered a traffic delay on the way back, resulting in me picking up the car more than an hour late. This made my trip to Makaino Farm in the Tokyo suburbs a complete waste of a day as they stopped selling tickets at 2 PM due to their training. The staff's apology seemed sincere, but the customer service and management were full of excuses from the very beginning and were extremely perfunctory when discussing compensation. Completely untrustworthy.

Pick up was inflexible. My baggage was lost and I requested them to wait but they were not able to. In the end I came out 1 hour late as I needed time to settle the admin and they left. I had to go to the city to pick it up costing us a lot of inconvenience and money

When picking up the car, they asked us on the spot for an additional AU$500 deposit which they would return after 30 days. Their card machines didn’t work with our travel cards which hadn’t had any issues for the entire trip, so we had to go to a 7/11 to get cash. We exchanged bank info to facilitate our refund. After 30 days, we received nothing back, so I reached out, and after 3 weeks and many lengthy exchanges of information, we received our deposit back. Except it was AU$380, as we incurred all the transfer fees which seem to be exorbitantly high. No doubt they would have happily refunded us nothing if we hadn’t reached out. I would not recommend renting with this company.

Quick shuttle pickup from the airport but a bit of a struggle to communicate in English when requesting the shuttle. An older microvan car, mechanically in good condition. Drove 1600 Kms without any issues. Small cars are preferable in Japan if you want to drive on narrow local roads.

Counter staff could not speak English and was inpatient. Another staff who showed us the car used an audio for translation, that was helpful. Note the GPS was only partially English. Strongly recommend non-Japanese drivers to have a backup gps. We were a given sienna.
