However, I went to the counter at the originally scheduled pickup time and asked if I could pick up the car a day later and whether there would be any additional charges. The counter staff informed me that I could pick up the car the next day without any extra fees. The next day, when picking up the car, I asked again to confirm, and they assured me there would be no charges and I could proceed with the pickup as usual. However, a fee was quietly charged the day before returning the car (through the pre-authorized card, so I wasn’t aware at the time). I only noticed the unexplained charge after checking my bank statement upon returning home. After contacting Zuzuche, they explained that the fee was for late pickup. First of all, the late pickup had an impact on me but caused no loss to the car rental company. Secondly, I asked twice and was told there would be no additional charges. If there were fees, why not inform me and charge me when I picked up the car? Why was the fee quietly charged the day before the return?
