I arrived at 1:28 PM, and the sign on the door said the break time started at 1:30 PM, but they stopped operating earlier. The sign also indicated they would return to work at 2:30 PM, but the staff didn't show up until 3:10 PM.

Has Thrifty been acquired by Hertz? When picking up the car in Milan, Thrifty orders were handled at the Hertz counter, basically, it was a Hertz booking. Hertz is very inefficient, took a long time in line, and it took two hours to get the car. The originally booked Ford C-Max was unavailable, so Hertz gave us a Nissan Qashqai for free. In Italy, you are allowed to drive to other developed Western European countries (UK, Germany, Switzerland, etc.). We added one additional driver; with taxes and service fees, the total cost was quite high, nearly half the original rental fee. I have a very poor impression of Hertz. Back in 2016, I rented a car in Brisbane, and Hertz charged more for an upgrade because the car I originally booked was unavailable. I didn't expect to book a car with Thrifty only to end up with Hertz again.

There were many people picking up cars, and a Gold member of the company cut in line. Returning the car was very convenient!

Hertz did not have the car we reserved and they took a deposit on two credit cards, neither have been adjusted to the correct amount as of yet
