We previously booked a car, but due to weather conditions, our flight was canceled. We contacted the rental platform to request holding the car for us, and we took a long-distance bus to the pickup point. During the journey, we were informed that the rental company had arbitrarily canceled our reservation and charged us the booking fee. After negotiations with the rental platform, they refunded half of the fee. We had to book another car again. We are baffled by such actions from the rental company and give a negative review for this service.
Firstly, there were hidden charges, such as mandatory insurance. Secondly, another required fee had to be paid as well. Thirdly, I smoked a few puffs of an e-cigarette with the car window open, and was charged 80 euros. It is recommended to choose a larger company; while they may seem expensive upfront, the overall cost is similar.
I've rented cars multiple times in Europe and have always been very satisfied, leaving good reviews. However, this time with OK Mobility in Spain was quite disappointing. This company is a local Spanish car rental provider and requires a deposit of 2000 euros (while others only ask for 300 euros). I ended up losing 282 euros unfairly. In addition, it took 1.5 hours from arriving at the location to completing the car pickup. Furthermore, the fuel gauge showed only half a tank when I picked up the car, but I refueled fully before returning it, afraid of being charged unfairly again.
The staff was polite, and there weren't many people. However, they pressured me into buying insurance and claimed it was mandatory if I planned to cross the border.
This car rental company has a high rating on Zuzuche, but it was really hard to locate. The staff were very unprofessional, and the car they provided was old and in poor condition. Since we just needed it for basic transportation, we accepted it. However, they charged us a deposit of 2,000 euros. When we returned the car, there were no issues during the inspection, but the next day they charged me over 3,000 euros for repairs without providing any photos. I think this is a fraudulent company. I strongly recommend choosing a well-known brand rental company. This is the first time I've encountered such a situation in my global car rental experiences.
Hardly any waiting! The process was very fast, but there was no signal in the underground garage, so I had to go to a place with signal to upload the car condition photos.
